Competition Entry
While studying in England your present author became aware of a competition for a new pavilion on the grounds of the Dullich Picture Gallery, just outside of London, designed in the early 19th century by Sir John Soane. My entry was an outcome of my study of Soane’s architecture. The entry won an honorable mention and your present author had the privilege of seeing the boards displayed in the Picture Gallery itself. That a classical scheme like mine and several others were taken seriously by the jury caused a mini-sensation when images of them were published in several British architectural magazines.
